We are pleased to announce:

San Carlos Airport Association General Membership Meeting
Thursday, February 5th, 2026 at 6:30 PM
at the Skyway Center, 655 Skyway Road.

Our guest speaker will be:

Thomas Daniel

Thomas will share the details of his self-fly African safari, where he piloted a single-engine Cessna across South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia. During the talk, he will discuss the practicalities of flying a light aircraft through some of most remote areas, the experience of landing on remote bush strips, and the logistics involved in planning a multi-country African expedition.

The presentation will also focus on the trip’s highlights on the ground, featuring the lodges where he stayed and the wildlife encountered throughout the flight. Thomas has prepared a wide selection of photos to document the landscapes and game sightings from both the air and the land. He aims to provide a clear, firsthand account of the adventure, offering insights for both fellow pilots and those interested in African travel.

He is native of Poland and after living for 15 years in Paris, he moved with his family to the Bay Area and worked at various semiconductor and software companies. • Taxiway reconfiguration project — the current expected schedule and logistics for airport users.
…and, of course, your questions for both Thomas and Gretchen.

We hope to see you there! Free pizza and beverages will be provided!
